Dietary supplements and the FDA

In the United States, dietary supplements are regulated under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. That law puts supplements in a different category from medicines. It means:

• The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they go on sale.
• Responsibility for safety and for the truthfulness of label claims sits with the manufacturer and distributor.
• A facility can be registered with the FDA, but a registered facility is not an FDA endorsement of anything made inside it.

You will not find the phrase "FDA approved" anywhere on this site, because for a dietary supplement it would not be true. Anyone who tells you otherwise about any supplement is either mistaken or hoping you will not check.

What we do say

Leptozan is manufactured in the United States in a facility that follows Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Our claims are limited to structure and function — how the ingredients are intended to support normal bodily processes. You will see wording such as "supports", "helps maintain" and "is designed to support".

What we do not say

• We do not claim Leptozan treats, cures or prevents obesity, diabetes, heart disease or any other condition.
• We do not claim it is a replacement for prescribed medication.
• We do not publish specific weight-loss numbers as an expected outcome.
• We do not use doctor endorsements, invented clinical trials or fabricated certification badges.
